The Middlebury College Musical Players bring Jonathan Larson's beloved rock musical, RENT, to the Town Hall Theater for its Middlebury debut! Performances are today, April 17 - Saturday, April 19, with an 8:00 pm curtain each night.

Based on Puccini's La Bohème, Rent tells the poignant story of a band of starving East Village bohemians struggling to survive and thrive in the midst of the New York AIDS epidemic of the 80's and 90's. Brimming with beautiful characters and breathtaking melodies, Rent is an enduring ode to the power of community and friendship.

MCMP is dedicated to bringing musical theatre to the Middlebury College and town community. Shows are designed, directed, produced and performed entirely by students. Recent productions include City of Angels, Midd-Life Crisis (based on "Forbidden Broadway"), and Man of La Mancha.

Tickets $12/$10/$6, are available at go.middlebury.edu/measureinlove or at the Middlebury College Box Office, 802-443-6433. In the event of a sold-out show, there will be a paid waiting list starting an hour before curtain.

RENT is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI.
