Seeking
Equity actors who sing for various roles.

This show will be performed entirely in Paris, France.

Preparation
Prepare a short Gershwin song or a short song from the Great American Songbook.
Bring sheet music; accompanist provided.

Bring picture and resume, stapled together.

Other Dates
Production will be at the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris
- 1st Rehearsal on/about 9/24/14 in NYC
- Travel to Paris from NY on/about 11/5/14
- 1st preview in Paris on/about 11/22/14
- Final performance in Paris on or about 1/4/15

Breakdown

ADAM HOCHBERG
Male, mid to late 20s, New York born and bred, classically trained composer, walks with a cane; lives on the Left Bank in relative squalor. Excellent actor and singer. Piano experience a plus, but not required. Should be comfortable with some dancing, especially some tap.

JERRY MULLIGAN
Male, mid to late 20s. Must be an EXCELLENT ballet dancer. Some tap and jazz a plus. Acting and singing experience also a plus, but please submit regardless of level of acting and singing training. Jerry is a Midwestern painter, studying in Paris on the GI bill. He is charming, ambitious, callow

HENRI BAUREL
Male, late 20s to 30s. The handsome child of privileged Parisians, and heir to a manufacturing fortune; he secretly wants to be a song and dance man; uncertain about his sexuality. Excellent actor and singer. Should have dance ability and be able to tap.

LISE ALLTMONT
Female; late teens or early 20s. Must be an EXCELLENT ballet dancer. Acting and singing experience a plus, but please submit regardless of acting and singing training. Originally from Alsace, Lise is very private with a profound inner dignity.

MILO DAVENPORT
Female; 30s. An American art patron who is attractive, wealthy, bold, and tends to leap before she looks. Excellent actor and singer. Should have some dance ability.

MADAME BAUREL/OLGA
Female; late 50s. Madame Baurel is Henri’s upper middle class, comically self righteous mother. Olga is the grand, self-important ballet mistress, who is an innocent child behind the aggressive façade. Actor with excellent comic timing and some singing ability
