Breakdown

SEEKING:

CINDERELLA (30s): Perky, ditzy, happy-go-lucky. Loves being a perfect princess but has a dark comedic edge. Must have great physical comedic timing, improvisation skills and a fantastic pop mezzo-soprano mix/belt to E5; belt to C5.

SLEEPING BEAUTY (30s – 40s): Full-figured, wisecracking tomboy. A comic bull in a china shop. Think Melissa McCarthy as a fairytale princess. Must have great comedic timing, improvisation skills, a great dancer (ballet, cartwheels, and splits a plus!), and a booming vaudeville alto-mezzo soprano belt to D5; must have strong Eb3 to A5.

BELLE / THE LITTLE MERMAID / RAPUNZEL (30s - 40s): Triple role. Must have fantastic comedic timing, improvisation skills, physical comedy, the ability to play equal parts comically insane (Belle), rebellious, jaded, bitter lush (The Little Mermaid) and over-the-top Mel-Brooksian/Wagnerian singing German monster (Rapunzel). Country twang (Mermaid) as well as booming opera chops (Rapunzel). Must have a strong mezzo-soprano mix/belt to E5; also hit a C#3.

THE ONE WHO KISSED THE FROG (30s - 40s): African-American. Fabulous. Confident. The ultimate diva princess - Patty LaBelle meets Beyonce meets Aretha on the Freeway of Love. Must have great comedic timing, sass, the ability to move well, and a strong alto/mezzo-soprano Motown belt to C5; high riffs to G5. All physical types welcome.

SNOW WHITE (30s – 40s): Brassy, ballsy, self-assured. Leader of the princess pack. Likes to be in control. Mistress of ceremonies type. Equal parts serious-minded, sexy, and motherly. Must have great ‘straight man’ comedic timing, improvisation skills with fantastic soprano range (belt, mix, legit). Range: E3–B5 (strong A3–G5)

HUA MULAN / POCAHONTAS / PRINCESS BADROULBADOR (30s - 40s): Triple role. Actor cast will play Asian, Native American, and Middle Eastern characters. Must have amazing comedic timing, strong improvisation skills, physical comedy, the ability to play equal parts understated masculinity (Hua Mulan), overtly feminine (Pocahontas), and cheesy-jazzy lounge singer (Princess Badroulbador). Must have strong soprano with pop belt as well as jazz styles (riffing a must). Range: G3-A5 (belt to E5).
