AEA actors/actors who sing, for various theatres 14-15 seasons.

Preparation
All actors will be given 3 minutes to perform: 2 song selections, a song/monologue combination, or 1 monologue. You will be contacted by a staff member to confirm an appointment and will be required to send forty photocopies of your headshot for the attending organizations.

Appointments will be accepted on a first come first serve bases until full. Equity members are still encouraged to come to the audition to sign up for stand-by list.

Uncle Fester: Male 40-59, Caucasian, The family member who serves as the musical's narrator, larger than life, an energetic, joyous, child-like presence

Wednesday Addams: Female, 18-25, All Ethnicities An attractive, in shape girl who has the same dry wit and sensibility of her mother, finds love with a “normal” boy (Lucas)

Grandmama: Female, 50+, All Ethnicities A feisty 102-year-old woman, fun and quirky, but don’t mess with her; seeking a comedic actress with strong character vocals

Pugsley Addams: Male, 11-15, Caucasian ,Young actor who plays 12 years old, a charming, funny, husky boy who loves being tortured by his sister

Lurch: Male, 30+, All Ethnicities Very tall, the Addams butler who knows and sees all, speaks in moans and groans; seeking a character actor with low bass vocals.

Mal Beineke: Male, 40-50, Caucasian Stuffy father of Lucas and exasperated husband to his rhyming wife, Alice, at one time was a follower of the Grateful Dead

Alice Beineke: Female, 35-45, Caucasian Mother of Lucas, devoted to her family so she puts aside her own desires, in shape, quirky, often speaks in rhyme

Lucas Beineke: Male, 18-25, All Ethnicities Caucasian male, attractive, in shape young man. Fell in love with Wednesday Addams and plans to marry her

Thenardier: Male, 35-49, strong comic character role, a crooked innkeeper, later a petty, amoral thief, greedy, irreverent, selfish, boorish, vulgar, baritone

Marius: Male, 20-29, high baritone (sings to A) with a strong bottom (to A), a member of the revolutionary student movement, attractive and romantic

Annie Sullivan: Female, 22-28, Caucasian Helen’s teacher, a strong and vibrant woman who is determined to connect Helen to the world, there is a crude vitality to her

Helen Keller: Female, 9-11, Caucasian a deaf blind mute, trapped in her own world, unable to speak, hear, or see, she is almost not human as she has been blind and deaf

Captain Arthur Keller: Male, 40-50, Caucasian Helen’s father

Kate Keller: Female, 28-38, Caucasian ,Helen’s mother who is tormented by Helen’s perceivably insurmountable disability, she seeks to please Helen in order to avoid the tantrums

James Keller: Male, 18-25, Caucasian Helen’s half-brother, son of the captain, described as indolent, sees Helen as mentally defective and believes it best she be put in an asylum

Aunt Ev: Female, 40-60, Helen’s aunt, a talkative, opinionated woman who serves as the catalyst for the Kellers’ contact with the Perkins School for the Blind

Anagnos: Male, 40-55, Annie’s counselor at the Perkins Institution for the Blind, a dear and kind man who is very fond of Annie, serves as a mentor and friend

Irene Molloy: Female, 20-35, soprano, a milliner with a hat shop in New York City; she yearns for romance

Cornelius Hackl: Male, 20-35, yearns for one exciting day in NYC; a romantic at heart; falls in love with Irene

Minnie Fay: Female, character soprano,18-30, excitable, fast talking, and naïve;

Barnaby: 18-30,sweet, gullible, and follows along with whatever Cornelius suggests;
