Seeking:

LUCY RICARDO
Female. 30s - early 40s. Iconic zany NY Housewife, married to a Cuban bandleader, longs to be in show business. Fearless, slim and attractive actor with exceedingly strong comic chops. Physical comedy, athleticism, and dancing required. Huge expressive eyes are a plus.

RICKY RICARDO
Male. 30s-early 40s Tenor. Cuban Bandleader with fiery temper and passion, married to beautiful wife. Has huge ambition and an overactive imagination. Actor must have strong comic chops, good singing voice, great sultry rhythm, conga/percussion skills (or the ability to learn!), and must be able to master Ricky's Cuban accent.

ETHEL MERTZ
Female. 30s-early 50s. Lucy’s co-conspirator and best friend. Married to Fred. Actor with dry sense of humor and terrific timing. Sings and moves well.

FRED MERTZ
Male. 50s-60s Long suffering husband to Ethel, and landlord of the Ricardos. Crusty curmudgeon with dry sense of humor. Sings and moves well. Bald or balding with a tummy. Not too tall.

MAURY JASPER
Male. 30s-50s. Desilu Playhouse Host. This consummate host and ‘everyman’ must be completely facile with improvisation. He also should have dexterous knowledge of (or at least be willing to learn) popular American and Entertainment history of the late 1940s and 1950s. His warmth and humor can charm the masses, even the most cynical of audiences. May also need to cover and imitate character actor Frank Nelson. Sings and moves well.

MRS. EUGENIA SWANSON
Female. 40s-50s Audience Member who finds herself taking part in the proceedings. Actor must have exceedingly strong improvisational skill and perfect comic timing, also owns an infectious laugh. Sings and moves well. Will cover other roles as well.

ENSEMBLE MAN #1 (Eye Dr./Crystaltone Singer)
30s- 40s. High Baritone. Actor/Singer with great comic timing who moves well. Must be able to imitate character actor Frank Nelson. Also covers Ricky Ricardo.

ENSEMBLE MAN #2 (Bill Parker/Crystaltone Singer)
40s-50s. Tenor. Handsome sophisticated Silver Fox. Sings and Moves well. Good comic timing. Will cover other roles.

ENSEMBLE MAN #3 (King Kat Walsh/Crystaltone Singer)
Late 20s -30s. Tenor. Attractive Actor/Singer with comic chops. Expert Dancer. Blond is helpful, but not necessary. Will cover other roles.

ENSEMBLE WOMAN #1 (Dinah Beach/Crystaltone Singer)
30s-40s Soprano. Chameleon actor who sings and dances, with great comic chops. Plays everything from a singing and dancing Dinah Shore-esque to dowdy stage assistant. May also cover Lucy Ricardo.

ENSEMBLE WOMAN #2 (X Beauty Contestant/Crystlatone Singer)
Late 20s-40s. Mezzo Soprano (with belt) Character, plus-size funny gal who sings and moves very well.

ENSEMBLE WOMAN #3 (Makeup Girl/Crystaltone Singer)
Late 20s-40s. Mezzo Soprano (with belt) Attractive and funny Singer/Actor. Moves very well. May also cover Lucy Ricardo.

ENSEMBLE WOMAN #4 (Alka Seltzer’s Speedy/Dorothy Day spokesperson)
40-50s. Alto. Funny Chameleon character actor. Diminutive stature also helpful, but not prerequisite. Sings and moves well. Plays everything from down-home audience member, elegant commercial spokeswoman, to very old lady. Has strong improvisational skills while mingling with audience. Tap is helpful, but not a prerequisite.

GERALD
Male, 30s - mid 40s. The harried and fastidious Desilu Stage Manager. Also performs a musical number. Good coming timing. Sings and moves well. Possibly covers Man#1, Man#2, Man#3 and/or Ricky Ricardo.

MALE STANDBY
Covers up to 5 roles in the show. Fred, Maury, Gerald, Man #1, and #2.

FEMALE STANDBY
Plays Frannie (a Desilu Wardrobe Woman) and covers Female #1, #3,#4, and Mrs. Eugena Swanson
