Esther: 30-40. African American. Must play 35. Plain looking woman, intelligent, but not educated. She is a skilled seamstress and can make her own way, but dreams of marriage. She has grown knowledgeable of the world through observation; trusting and hopeful; a strong and unshakable spirit; a fighter.
