Seeking
Exceptional actors with solid voice and movement training adept at Shakespeare. Stage combat training preferred. If you play an instrument, we may incorporate your skills into the production. King Lear may be a tragedy, but a sense of humor is mandatory.

Preparation
Prepare one 2-3 Minute Shakespeare monologue.

Bring picture and resume, stapled together.

Seeking:

Kent - Lear's counselor (may be played by male or female)

Gloucester - Father to Edgar and Edmund

Edmund - Gloucester's bastard son

Lear (CAST)

Goneril - Lear's eldest daughter

Cordelia - Lear's youngest daughter (may also double as the Fool)

Regan - Lear's second daughter

Albany - husband to Goneril

Cornwall - husband to Regan

France/Others - male (must be versatile actor)

Burgundy/Others - male (must be versatile actor)

Edgar - Gloucster's legitimate son

Oswald - servant to Goneril (male or female)

Fool (male or female - if female, may double with Cordelia)

Curan - servant (male or female)

Rehearsal/Run Schedule

REHEARSALS: Begin Tuesday, April 22, (6:30-10:30pm); continuing weekday evenings (6:30-10:30); Saturdays TBA (afternoons or evenings, depending on schedules) and Sundays (12 Noon-5:00pm).

PERFORMANCES INDOORS AT ST. CHARLES BORROMEO CHURCH: Opens Friday, 5/23 at 8pm, then 5/24 at 8, 5/25 at 3, 5/30 at 8, 5/31 at 8, 6/1 at 3, 6/6 at 8, 6/7 at 8, 6/8 at 3
PERFORMANCES IN BROOKLYN BRIDGE PARK: 6/13, 6/14, 6/15 all at 7pm
