Preparation
Prepare a brief musical theatre song which best shows your personality and abilities. Have a brief second song prepared, if asked. Bring sheet music, in your key, as an accompanist will be provided.

Bring picture and resume, stapled together, back to back.

GREASE
Music/Lyrics/Book: Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey

DANNY:
Male, reads late teens. Leader of the “T-Birds”. Well built, good looking, with an air of cool, easy going charm. Strong/confident. Excellent singer, actor & dancer

KENICKIE:
Male, reads late teens. Second-in-command of the “T-Birds”. Tough looking, tattooed, surly, avoids any show of softness. Has an off-beat sense of humor.

DOODY:
Male, reads late teens. Youngest of the guys. Small, boyish, open, with a disarming smile & a hero-worshipping attitude toward the other guys. Plays guitar (optional).

ROGER:
Male, reads late teens. ‘Anything for a laugh’ stocky type. Full of mischief, half-baked schemes & ideas.

SONNY:
Male, reads late teens. Wannabe tough guy who thinks he’s a real lady killer.

EUGENE:
Male, reads late teens. Physically gangly. High pitched voice. Nerdy, smug & pompous but gullible.

VINCE FONTAINE:
Male, 30’s. Adult, a typical ‘teen audience’ radio disc jockey. Slick, egotistical, fast-talking. A veteran ‘greaser’. Doubles as TEEN ANGEL. Strong singer/actor.

JOHNNY CASINO:
Male, reads late teens. A ‘greaser’ student at Rydell who energetically leads a rock’n’roll band. Likes to think of himself as a real rock’n’roll idol (like Elvis). Good energetic solo performer

SANDY:
Female, reads late teens. Danny’s love interest. Sweet, wholesome, naïve, cute, like Sandra Dee of the ‘Gidget’ movies. However, must be able to play sassy & sultry after her transformation.

RIZZO:
Female, reads late teens. Leader of the “Pink Ladies”. Tough, sarcastic outspoken but also vulnerable.

FRENCHY:
Female, reads late teens. A dreamer. Good natured but a little dumb.

MARTY:
Female, reads late teens. The ‘beauty’ of the Pink Ladies. Pretty, 18 going on 30.

JAN:
Female, reads late teens. Energetic, bubbly, with a healthy appetite!

PATTY SIMCOX:
Female, reads late teens. Typical all American cheerleader. Attractive/athletic. Cheerleading skills a plus.

CHA-CHA:
Female, reads late teens. Sexy, fiesty/overly confident. Excellent dancer

MISS LYNCH:
Female, 50s. Rydell High School Principal. Strict, demanding teacher. Excellent comedic actress.

Female, 30-40s. Billy's dancing teacher. Excellent singing voice. Great energy, drive, determination, warmth & compassion. Doesn't suffer fools gladly. Good comedic skills. Must be able to tap & be a strong mover/dancer.

DAD
Male, 40s. Billy’s dad. Leading actor. 40s. Must sing. Geordie miner. Working class. Single parent. Narrow-minded. Tries to do the best for his family. At end of his tether. Feels sorry for himself.

GRANDMA
Female, 60-70s. Must sing. Good dance or movement skills. Tap if possible. Good comedy skills required. Character actress

TONY:
Male, 20s. Billy’s brother. Geordie miner. Excellent singing voice. Outspoken. Loud, macho, up for a fight.

GEORGE
Male, Late 30-50s. Billy’s Boxing teacher. Geordie miner. Excellent comedy skills. Friend of Dad’s. Spokesman of the miners. Community spirited. Working class. Singing not essential. No tap required.

MARY POPPINS:
Female, 20-30. Jane & Michael’s new Nanny, Mary Poppins is a dazzling personality. A force to be reckoned with. Mezzo Soprano with a strong top.

BERT
Male, 30s. Is a One-Man-Band, a Sidewalk Artist, a Chimney Sweep and a Kite Salesman, but above all, is a friend to Mary Poppins, Jane & Michael. Baritone to G.

MR. GEORGE BANKS:
Male, 40s. A bank manager, Mr. Banks is father to Jane and Michael. Tries to be a good provider, but often forgets how to be a good father. Baritone.

ADMIRAL BOOM:
Male, 50s. The Banks’ friendly neighbor on Cherry Tree Lane, Admiral Boom’s house is shaped like a great ship. Baritone.

MRS. WINIFRED BANKS:
Female, 30-40s. Former actress. She is very busy trying to live up to her husband’s expectations. Is a loving, but distracted mother to Jane and Michael. Mezzo Soprano.

KATIE NANNA:
Female, 30s. Last in a long line of nannies for the Banks children, Katie Nanna can’t stand any more of Jane & Michael’s pranks and leaves.

MISS ANDREW:
Female, 40s-50s cruel & demanding., Soprano with Alto Belt.

MISS LARK:
Female, 30s. Another neighbor on Cherry Tree Lane. A bit snobby and treats her dog, Willoughby, as a child. Mezzo Soprano.

MRS. BRILL:
Female, 40-50s. The Banks’ cook, she rules the kitchen at No. 17 Cherry Tree Lane. Alto.

MRS. CORRY
Female, Mysterious & very old, Mrs. Corry runs the “Talking Shop” where people buy conversations & gingerbread. Soprano.

ROBERTSON AY
Male, 20s. Clumsy but good-hearted, the Banks’ footman has trouble following instructions. Tenor.

THE BIRD WOMAN
She sits in front of St.Paul’s Cathedral every day, selling bags of crumbs for the pigeons. 50s, Alto.

Female, 20-30s The Music Teacher. Excellent comic timing. Some dance is required.

SUKIE ROUGEMONT
Female, 20-30s. The Reporter for the “Eastwick Word”. Excellent comic timing. Some dance is required

ALEXANDRA SPOFFORD
Female, 20-30s. The Artist. Excellent comic timing. Strong dance is required.

FELICIA GABRIEL
Female, 40-50s. The town busy body. Excellent comic timing. Some dance is required.

CLYDE GABRIEL
Male, 30-50s. Excellent comic timing. Some dance is required.

MICHAEL SPOFFORD
Male, Late teens –Early 20s. Alexandra’s son. Busboy at Nemo’s Diner. Strong dance is required.

JENNIFER GABRIEL
Female, Late teens –Early 20s. Felicia and Clyde’s daughter. Excellent comic timing. Some dance is required.

FIDEL
Male, Any age. Darryl’s manservant.

THE ADDAMS FAMILY

GOMEZ ADDAMS
Male 50s. A man in his prime, of Spanish descent and a wild Iberian passion. Must have great comedic timing & strong tenor voice. LEAD

MORTICIA ADDAMS
Female 40-50s. Holds the balance of power in the family; often seems like the only emotionally mature member of the clan. Must be a great dancer who is funny and sings well, alto/mezzo soprano. LEAD

UNCLE FESTER
Male, 40s–50s. Narrator of the piece, Fester is child-like, hugely enthusiastic and totally incorrigible. A vaudevillian, needs strong comedy and tenor voice.

WEDNESDAY ADDAMS
Female, reads late teens. Romantic lead, a sexy, young version of Morticia. Needs a great pop/rock style singing voice (Think Avril Lavigne) and a witty, DRY sense of humor.

GRANDMAMA
Female appears 50s–70s. Ancient. Good-natured, easily led. Very active for her age. Character singer with strong humor

PUGSLEY ADDAMS
Male, must appear 12 years old. Plump, adorable and FUNNY....a smaller version of Gomez. Strong belt voice

LURCH
Male, ageless. A man of very, very few words, often spoken at half speed. Most of what he utters is long, plaintive groans, some tinged with irony or exasperation. Must have a TRUE low bass voice.

COLONEL MAL BEINECKE
Male, 45–50. Military man, a man who must be obeyed, with little patience for his wife and son. Musical theater baritenor voice.

ALICE BEINECKE
Female, early 40s. She’s the happy little homemaker with a drinking problem. Must be very funny and sing well.

LUCAS BEINECKE
Male, must appear 19. A writer, A classic co-dependent, Lucas feels good when everybody's happy. Needs to be a great pop/rock singer
