'Voices And Votes, Democracy In America' Traveling Exhibit Comes to Mercer County Community College

In partnership with the New Jersey Council for the Humanities (NJCH), Mercer County Community College (MCCC) will host Voices and Votes: Democracy in America, a traveling exhibit from the Smithsonian Institution. The exhibit comes to the Gallery at MCCC May 18 to June 20. The Gallery is located on the college's West Windsor Campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road on the second floor of the Communication building.

Ken Ludwig's Baskerville - A Sherlock Holmes Mystery is without question the most brilliantly funny adaptations of one of Holmes' most famous cases. Since it was first published in the Strand Magazine between August 1901 and April 1902, The Hound of the Baskerville has become possibly the most well known case of the crime fighting duo, Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson. In Ludwig's version, as Holmes and Watson work to solve the case, only three other actors play all 43 other roles in the play; more often than not, changing those characters in a split second right before your very eyes. That's right. Ludwig wrote the show to only have five people in the cast!

Rover Dramawerks kicks off their 20th Anniversary Season with the comedy Sherlock Holmes and the Portal of Time by Michael Druce. This new time-traveling adventure featuring the famous detective will be at Rover's theatre in Plano, located in Ruisseau Village at 221 W. Parker Rd, Suite 580, at the northwest corner of Parker and 75. Performances run January 9 - February 1 on Thursdays and Fridays at 8:00 p.m. and on Saturdays at 3:00 and 8:00 p.m.

Mamma Mia is one of those contemporary classics. It's a guaranteed hit anywhere you play it because the songs as recognizable, the story is fun and playful, and it is at once heartfelt and outlandish. But that doesn't mean you can ignore the fact that the dancing is action-packed, the songs have a sincere meaning behind them and Mamma Mia is a well-known musical with expectation in its performance more than most shows.
